- Lamb’s Ears (Stachys byzantine):-
It is a very hardy strong growing perennial with thick white-wooly foliage. It is good for filling an area of your landscape and as a border. It has attractive silvery-green leaves and fragrant foliage. For best results, grow them in full sunlight and 4-7 zones. It grows well in the spring season. It is superb in a drought like conditions and can tolerate poor soil conditions. It flowers in late spring and early summer either white or pink.
- Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia):-
Lavender plant is a shrub-like form and set at 12 to 18 inches apart. It requires full sunlight and circulation of air. It needs proper watering and cannot tolerate excessive soil moisture. It requires alkaline soil pH around 6-7.
Lavender is a herb used for making medicine. It is used for insomnia, nervousness and depression. You can also use it for digestion problems, hair loss, to heal pain like nerve pain, joint pain etc. You can use it in food to add flavor. It is used in cosmetics, perfumes and soaps.
- Big Daddy Hosta:-
Hosta has white bell-shaped flowers and blue-green leaves which thick slug resistant. It has excellent background foliage for shady gardens. It requires low maintenance like can grow in drought conditions, partial shade etc. It blooms in summer from white to pale. For landscape purpose, you can grow them along border, container or woodland garden.
- Dwarf Hinoki cypress(Chamaecyparis obtuse ‘Nana Lutea’):-
It is slow growing, upright, soft-needled evergreen conifer tree. It grows about 3 feet tall and sunlight is very important for it. It requires acidifying fertilizer and frequent watering. Use a pair of it in a symmetrical planting. It is hardy in 5-9 zones. The two main characteristics are Fanlike foliage and yellowish-green color.
